About the Team:
We are looking to recruit Personal Advisors to join our growing 16+ Independence service. We are currently recruiting to one permanent and four fixed term contracts ranging from 6 to 12 months.
Our approach is driven by a focus on relationships, enabling and supporting change for families openly and collaboratively, and promoting young people's development and wellbeing.
We are looking for experienced practitioners who are committed to this approach and who possess the skills to help our Lambeth care leavers to thrive and flourish.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with young people, their social worker (if relevant) and carers as well as other agencies to effectively work in partnership. You will coordinate, monitor and review Pathway Plans for all allocated young people preparing to make the transition to adulthood and greater independence from public care in Lambeth.
You will promote young people's physical, emotional and social welfare; promote their capacity to take responsibility for themselves, ensuring that needs relating to religious persuasion, racial origin, gender and cultural background are actively identified and met.
You will possess a recognised qualification in an associated field and have experience of leading group work, working with parents and carers and working with other agencies to support young people.
We especially encourage applications from people from underrepresented groups and while the role is open to all applicants, Lambeth will utilise the positive action provisions of the Equality Act 2010 to appoint a candidate from underrepresented groups where there is a choice between two candidates of equal merit.
