Campfire is a social-first marketing agency that helps brands succeed online by creating effective social content. We are building a Projects function to ensure flawless execution, timely delivery, and high-quality standards.
Role Overview
As Head of Projects, you will establish and lead a Projects Team from scratch, defining processes, documentation, and best practices that form the operational backbone of our agency. You will manage and mentor Project Managers, collaborate with Client Services for accurate scoping and costing, and oversee profitable project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing Project Management team.
* Define roles, workflows, and performance metrics to ensure accountability and excellence.
* Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Process & Systems Implementation
* Create frameworks and documentation to streamline planning, tracking, and reporting.
* Implement tools to enhance visibility, resource management, and cost control.
* Refine processes based on feedback and performance data, adapting as the agency grows.
Project Oversight & Profitability
* Manage active client projects, ensuring they meet timelines, quality, and profitability goals.
* Work with Finance to set budgets and allocate resources effectively.
* Focus on margins, delivering excellent results while maintaining cost discipline.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
* Partner with Client Services for accurate scoping and transparent proposals.
* Serve as the escalation point for project challenges or delays.
* Communicate progress, risks, and updates internally and externally.
* Capture lessons learned to improve processes and documentation.
* Foster knowledge sharing and operational excellence across teams.
