Job Description
This role involves overseeing the design and construction of the HS2 Infrastructure Maintenance Depot, including three main buildings: an office/light workshop and two Over Track Maintenance buildings. The Project Manager will handle the project from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and specifications.
Qualifications / Experience
* Degree/Master's in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
* Experience in construction, project management, or related fields
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
* Familiarity with project management software and tools
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
Skills and Competencies
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
* Experience in building external relationships
* Knowledge of construction technology and delivery of Design and Construct projects (preferable)
* Temporary works experience
Responsibilities
* Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contractors
* Define project scope, objectives, and timelines
* Coordinate planning and design during pre-construction and construction phases
* Manage resources, monitor costs, and control project risks
* Manage site teams, interpret design specifications, and ensure health and safety compliance
* Promote company values and ensure environmental and community considerations are addressed
