GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Rotherham (S60). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and emotional development of young learners who require additional support.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
* Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
* Foster a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment where every pupil feels valued.
* Implement effective strategies to promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and academic progress.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and SENCOs to develop individualised learning and behaviour plans.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage self-esteem and motivation.
* Track pupil progress and provide feedback to support continuous development.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, behavioural, or additional learning needs.
* Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and reflective teaching approach.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
