Your new role
As a Director of Legal &pany Secretary, you will hold a critical leadership position at the centre of the organisation. You will lead the Legal andpany Secretarial function, providing clear andmercially focused legal advice while ensuring robusternance and regulatorypliance across the business. You will support the Board and itsmittees, Executive Directors, and senior stakeholders across the wider group.
Your remit will spanmercial contracts, corporateernance, regulatory matters, data protection, insurance, andpliance. Alongside your legal responsibilities, you will act aspany Secretary, overseeing statutory obligations,ernance processes, Board administration, andmittee support.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic insight, and strong personal credibility. You will have:
1. Qualification as a Solicitor, and significant post-qualification experience inmercial law, ideally gained within financial services or another highly regulated sector
2. Proven experience operating aspany Secretary, supporting Boards andmittees withernance,pliance, and best practice
3. Strong working knowledge of data protection and GDPR, including hands-on implementation and risk management
4. Experience overseeing insurance portfolios and supporting broaderpliance functions
5. The ability tomunicateplex legal issues clearly and pragmatically to senior non-legal stakeholders
6. High professional integrity and a genuinemitment to operating within a purpose-driven, people-focused environment
