Werecurrently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician I to join our Quality Control Raw MaterialsTeam. In this role, you will?ensure that incoming raw materials are tested and released in time to meet manufacturing demands and are compliant with regulatory requirements, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference. Your responsibilities in this role would be: Carry out routine inspection, testing and releaseofincoming raw materials ensuring that quality and time targets are met Test raw materials using techniques such as pH, conductivity, osmolality, FTIR, strength assay and other wet-chemistry methods Maintain stock control in the laboratoryandorderingor preparingreagents when require Carry outand documentroutineequipment maintenanceactivities Represent the QC department in communications with manufacturing, Warehouse & Supply Chain, other members of QC and the wider business to ensure on time delivery of raw materials to the end user Prepare shipments of materials to CTOs and other sites Liaise with suppliers and external testing laboratories ensuring quality information and test results are providedin a timely manner Authoring and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentationfor the laboratory We are looking for: Educated to a minimum of GCSEor equivalent qualification level orable todemonstraterequired skills gained within another workplace Previouslaboratoryexperienceisrequiredwith agoodunderstanding ofhealth & safety, SDSand COSSH assessment Strong attention to details to ensure a high standard of record keeping and documentation Previousexperience with a LIMS/ELN systemis desirable Basic understanding ofGxPregulations Highly organised and motivated witha genuine interest in quality control Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Knowledge and experience of MS Office, Word, Excel & Outlook About Us: OXB is a quality and innovation-led viral vector CDMO with a mission to enable its clients to deliver life changing therapies to patients around the world.
