Criterion Capital is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design across a diverse portfolio of redevelopment, refurbishment, and new-build projects.
You will deliver structural analysis, calculations, and detailed design documentation, ensuring full compliance with UK regulations and standards. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will coordinate solutions and drive projects from planning through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out structural design, analysis, and calculations for redevelopment, refurbishment, adaptations, and new build components.
* Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications and technical reports for planning, tender, and construction stages.
* Ensure all design work complies with UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes, and relevant British Standards.
* Coordinate structural designs with architectural, building services, and other engineering disciplines.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
* Minimum 5+ years’ post-graduate experience in structural design (UK experience mandatory).
* Strong understanding of Eurocodes, UK standards, and Building Regulations.
* Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Revit, Tekla, MasterSeries, Robot, ETABS, TEDDS, AutoCAD).
* Experience with redevelopment, refurbishment or adaptive reuse projects.
* Chartered (e.g., IStructE, ICE).
