Overview
Green Skills and Construction Development Lead – onlyFE, Blackburn, England, United Kingdom
Role: Lead the development and positioning of the College's offer for Construction, including Green Skills, Renewable Technology and Sustainability. Work in close partnership with the Curriculum, Commercial and Business Development teams and the Head of School to grow learner numbers and strengthen industry links to ensure delivery models meet employer needs locally, regionally and nationally.
Responsibilities
* Co-create and deliver the curriculum and develop resources to support employer needs for provision including Full-time provision, T Levels, Apprenticeships and Commercial provision.
* Support the delivery of other provision within the Construction department and contribute to employer engagement and reputation enhancement for FE and HE.
* Support the development of students’ employability skills and the industrial currency of staff within the Centre.
* Facilitate opportunities in realistic work environments (RWE) within the Centre.
* Collaborate with Curriculum and Business Development teams to align provision with employer needs at local, regional and national levels.
What we are looking for
* Recognised Level 3 qualification in Construction and Level 2 qualification in English and maths.
* PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification and qualification to TAQA (A1, D32, 33) or willingness to work towards.
* Excellent sector experience with strong knowledge of local and regional employers; relevant industrial and/or professional experience in Construction, Green Skills, Renewable Technology and Sustainability.
