What you’ll be doing:
We trade in power and gas markets across Europe and the USA. Power markets operate 24-7 and some of the best opportunities are presented overnight. As a Power Trader, you will be joining a team of world-class trading talent and be a key player in driving P&L growth.
This is an entry-level position but a unique learning opportunity that will give you a head start in your career.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
• Use a range of monitoring tools to track the performance of our algorithmic trading strategies overnight.
• Analyse data to discover trends and formulate trading strategies.
• Develop models based on market analysis.
• Contribute towards risk management.
• Work alongside traders, analysts, and quantitative researchers to develop knowledge of power markets.
You’ll have:
• A degree in mathematics, engineering, physics, orputer science.
• Willingness to work overnight and shift-work.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Fast thought process and reaction speed
• Ability to quickly graspplex issues.
• Discipline, passion and drive to succeed
Ideal Behaviours:
• Logical thought process.
• Interest in energy markets or a willingness to learn about them.
• Curiosity to investigate or analyse data.
• Team player with willingness to share information andmunicate clearly
Desirable:
• Understanding of the global energy landscape.
• Python or other coding skills would be advantageous.
