Purpose of the Role
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for all warehouse operations and ensure delivery of ‘best in class standards of service to our customers, both internally within Uniphar Medtech and to our end customers.

Health and Safety
* Promote and ensure Health and safety in all activities and practices.
* Safe and clean environment for the team and inventory
* Equipment and facility Inspections
* Environmental impact of waste, packaging, and energy use to be reduced at every opportunity.
Temperature management
* Carry out daily, weekly reports and checks on the temperature control system and document performance
* Monitor any system alarms and take corrective action where necessary and coordinate with QCRA and stakeholders
Resource planning and allocation
* Communication of daily tasks and objectives and regular team briefings
* Manage the day-to-day resourcing of the team ensuring appropriate coverage to deliver the expected service level.
* Maintain efficient and smooth department operations by providing team members with the direction, information and tools required to perform their job to an outstanding level.
* Monitor staff workload and disperse workload appropriately among team members.
Team Development
* Create and maintain a high quality, motivating work environment for the team.
* Contribute to the development of team and individual goals and objectives. Develop Personal development plans (PDP’s)and review with team members.
* Identify training requirements to facilitate current and future operational needs in line with strategic objectives.
* Support/assist team members as necessary on daily assignments; troubleshooting concerns/problems.
* Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that monitor warehouse activity/performance and provide actionable insights.
* Ensure warehouse employees understand each KPI and how their activities contribute and influence each KPI.
Performance
* Ensure all warehouse activities are performed in accordance with best practice Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS).
* All inventory transactions are recorded accurately in the inventory management system (WMS), store and allocate all materials as per company procedures ensuring stock rotation by expiry dates.
* Work with the team to optimize material flow and handling and target ‘right first time’ system processing, utilise technology to reduce/streamline manual activities.
* Lead the establishment of effective processes and procedures, coordinating with Warehouse manager and other stakeholders.
* Promote and participate in the introduction of new systems and technology.
* Utilise reporting and system capabilities to input, retrieve and analyse data.
* Foster a customer-oriented environment among the team and business partners.
* Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at delivering customer service excellence.
* Adapt the warehouse physical configuration and inventory management systems to meet changing inventory volume and activity profiles.
* Coordinate and monitor periodic counting or cycle counting as per required count frequency per product.
* Liaise with 3rd party logistics in relation to inbound and outbound consignments.

Essential
Role Requirements
* Experience and understanding of customer focused logistical supply operations, including warehousing, planning and distribution.
* Experience of leading, motivating and managing an operational team, to deliver customer satisfaction and meet business performance objectives.
* Experience and understanding of ERP systems.
* Action orientated – someone who consistently demonstrates a readiness to take the initiative and originate action.
* Leadership – someone who consistently motivates and empowers others to reach goals.
* Planning and organising – someone who organises, activities and resources in addition to setting up and monitoring timescales and plans.
* Team orientated with good presentation and communication skills, and able to interface at all levels with colleagues, suppliers, and customers alike.

* Minimum requirement 3+ year experience in a similar supervisory role preferably in a fast-moving warehouse/logistics environment.

* Health and Safety, has proven ability promote and ensure safe operating practices in all aspects of warehouse operations in accordance with HAS / HSE legislation, guidelines, and codes of practice.

* Systems, Processes and Technology, understanding the importance of warehouse management systems, data, and processes to optimize material (physical and transactional) flow through the warehouse. Knowledge of current and emerging technologies which could assist in the ongoing development of the warehouse infrastructure and processes.
