Responsibilities
* Overseeing the entire strategy and operation of Cloud 23 – ensuring the bar delivers exceptional service across daily trade and a significant programme of private and corporate events, while maximising profitability.
* Providing all guests with an outstanding drinks experience – whether visiting for evening cocktails or attending a private or corporate function. Managing the Bar Team and coordinating with the Podium Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless, aligned service across the wider hotel.
* Developing and designing innovative drinks menus that reflect local and national trends, while ensuring menus are adaptable for event offerings and bespoke packages.
* Leading recruitment, training and development of your team – preparing them to deliver high‑volume service and execute premium private and corporate events to the highest standards. Delegating responsibilities to foster talent and maintain consistency.
* Driving operational excellence – maintaining consistency across service, presentation and guest engagement during busy evenings, exclusive hires and large‑scale event delivery.
* Supporting the wider hotel’s transition to InterContinental by 2027 – ensuring service standards evolve to meet brand expectations and enhance both leisure and corporate guest experiences.
* Acting as a visible leader – leading by example on the floor during peak periods and events to inspire your team to deliver exceptional, luxury experiences.

Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager role in a fast‑paced, high‑end environment (1‑2 years minimum). Experience within a destination restaurant or bar setting in a complex hotel operation would be highly advantageous.
* Strong people management skills, with experience recruiting, training and developing a large team.
* A deep passion for hospitality, with extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers and cocktails.
* A lead‑by‑example attitude, inspiring your team to consistently improve service standards across both daily operations and event delivery.
* A flair for providing luxury experiences, going above and beyond to personalise guests’ visits, whether leisure or corporate.
* Excellent teamwork skills, with guests at the heart of every decision and the ability to collaborate across departments within a wider hotel structure.
