As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all financial activities within the UK entities, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and strategic insight. You will act as a key business partner to the General Manager, supporting decision-making and contributing to the subsidiary's commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead all UK financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L and reporting
2. Provide strategic financial input to the General Manager and senior leadership team
3. Ensure compliance with UK statutory requirements and group financial policies
4. Oversee month-end, VAT returns and year-end close processes, liaising with group finance
5. Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives
6. Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and margin analysis
7. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
8. Implement and maintain internal controls and risk management frameworks
9. Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering a high-performance culture
10. Adherence to all Qufora Ltd's Policies, Processes and Procedures in relation to our Business Management System (Quality & Information Security (ISO 9001: 2015 & ISO 27001).
Requirements
11. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years post-qualification experience
12. Experience in a subsidiary or divisional finance leadership role
13. Background in medical devices, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing preferred
14. Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence non-financial stakeholders
15. Proficient in ERP financial systems, for example, MS Business Central (or similar) and financial reporting tools
16. Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
17. Comfortable working in a matrixed, multinational environment
