We are seeking a proactive and technically competent Warranty & Technical Engineer to act as the main point of contact for customers experiencing technical or warranty-related issues. This role bridges hands-on engineering knowledge with customer-facing problem resolution, ensuring issues are diagnosed efficiently and corrective actions are implemented effectively. This position would suit an experienced Service Engineer or Senior Fitter looking to step away from daily tool-based work while still applying strong technical expertise in a site-based, problem-solving role. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers regarding warranty and technical issues Manage, investigate, and resolve technical faults and warranty claims in a timely and professional manner Attend customer sites to diagnose faults, assess root causes, and determine appropriate corrective actions Coordinate and implement corrective actions, working closely with internal engineering, service, and quality teams Ensure all site activities are planned and executed in line with RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) Produce clear technical reports, findings, and recommendations following site visits Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and feeding back to engineering and product teams Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and professional site conduct Skills & Experience Strong technical background within mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical engineering Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Senior Fitter, Maintenance Engineer, or similar Solid understanding and practical application of RAMS Proven ability to diagnose faults and implement effective corrective actions Comfortable working in a customer-facing, site-based environment Strong communication skills, able to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Methodical, organised, and solutions-focused approach On offer is a competitive overall package and the chance to work for one of the most reputable manufacturing businesses in the Yorkshire region.
