A day in the life of…
* As General Manager, your role will be to lead a team of hospitality experts to achieve revenue and growth for our owners within a full-service hotel setting.
* You’ll utilise key transport links to drive commercial rooms business in the corporate sector and continue to build a local network to make the hotel a focal point of the community as Bedford and the surrounding areas grow with future theme parks and exciting new developments.
* You’ll utilise the newly renovated onsite restaurant to drive business and deliver first-class guest experiences.
* Beyond driving performance metrics like revenue, profit, and guest satisfaction, this role calls for a leader who can cultivate a high-performing team. We want someone who fosters a culture of engagement and development, empowering colleagues to deliver world-class hospitality. Your leadership will shape the guest experience and create a workplace where individuals thrive and grow.
* You will be an ambassador for the guest journey, ensuring brand values and service behaviors are delivered consistently in a professional and friendly environment, building the hotel’s reputation.
What do we need from you?
* You’ll be the hotel’s focal point and custodian, leading your team from the front while demonstrating extensive experience in setting standards in hospitality.
* Commercially driven, you’ll utilise your skills to drive revenue and rooms business at this recently renovated property.
* You’ll be an inspirational people leader with high resilience to drive change, engage hearts and minds, and deliver a compelling vision for the business.
* With the scope of the role, team, and property in mind, you will have demonstrable experience as a General Manager within a similar environment. Food and Beverage experience is essential, given the hotel’s new feature restaurant.
* Your role will also involve managing multiple stakeholders; experience working closely with owners or in a third-party management model is crucial.
* As a people-centric business, you’ll demonstrate a proven ability to nurture and develop talent at all levels.
