Welcome to Weston Way Nursery School. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Weston Way family as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant where we are proud of our 'Home from Home' ethos. We are looking for someone who is passionate about education in the early years and has the desire to make a real difference to the lives of young children through the core provision. Our new Early Years Learning Support Assistant will contribute to the nursery wider aims of ensuring that every unique child has access to a warm, nurturing, safe and enabling environment promoting our school aims: H appiness, O pportunities, M agical moments, E ngagement This will entail supporting a child on a 1:1 basis with identified special educational needs following their Assess Plan Do Review Cycle provision with a focus on supporting their physical and health needs. This will involve playing with the child for extended periods of time both indoors and outdoors, undertaking observations, feeding assessments into the planned activities led by key persons and teaching staff in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework encouraging development across the foundation stage areas of learning. While your primary focus will be working 1:1 with this child, you will be part of a collaborative early year’s team of co-adventurers, supporting the child alongside colleagues and supporting other children where required. Please see the job description and person specification for further details. The hours of work could be anywhere between 15-20 hours a week from 8.55am each day term time only. (This will affect the pro rata salary where the number of weeks working for HCC affects pro-rata calculations. These can be supplied by using the salary calculator on Teach In Herts).
