Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Bolton
Reports to: Credit Control Manager
Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum
Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed Term, 12 months
About the role
To support the Credit Control Manager by providing an efficient and customer-focused service for invoicing and cash collection management.
The role aims to ensure timely payments, processed incoming funds, reconciled accounts, and resolved queries promptly.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with customers to collect payments and obtain earliest settlement to maintain cash flow.
* Follow customer procedures for invoice compliance and processing.
* Build relationships with customers to encourage early payments.
* Collaborate with other departments to deliver excellent service.
* Resolve queries and manage credit notes proactively.
* Send statements and copy invoices upon request.
* Process and reconcile incoming funds daily.
* Perform monthly account reconciliations.
* Monitor debtors and collaborate with the Credit Control Manager to forecast cash receipts.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Relevant experience in Credit Control or finance.
* Experience with finance systems.
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C or above.
* Highly numerate and accurate with financial data.
* Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
* Professional, positive, flexible attitude with good communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good initiative and ownership of tasks.
