The Role
As a Credit Control Advisor, you will be responsible for maximising the collection of debt, while ensuring that the debtor days are reduced in line with company targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Debt management and collection of customer accounts
* Responsibility for your section of the ledger
* Achieving agreed collection targets
* Providing reports on the performance of accounts
* Controlling and monitoring the daily debt
* Monitoring cash allocation and proposing corrective action on allocated accounts where needed
* Escalating serious issues to the Team Leader or Credit Manager
* Providing an excellent level of customer service
* Resolving all business queries within agreed timeframes
* Ad hoc administration duties
Qualifications and Experience
* A minimum of 2 years experience within a collections environment
* ICM qualification would be advantageous
* Ability to initiate and facilitate continuous improvements
* Work to strict timeframes
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
* Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Pivot tables
* Understanding of audit controls
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills
* Good organisation skills
