As a Personal Assistant you will within the Executive and Business Team to support all aspects of the Directors and Heads of Service daily work routine. This will include diary management to ensure the efficient scheduling of meetings and events, serving as an effective liaison with internal/external stakeholders and providing full administrative support for meetings where required.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification or experience of working as a Personal Assistant within a busy work environment as well as possessing excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.
Typical Day
* Diary and email management for Directors and Heads of Service, using knowledge and experience to either respond directly or signpost to other individuals as required.
* Processing complex and confidential information, reports, briefing notes and other similar documents.
* Providing administrative support to Directors and Heads of Service with the monitoring of Nexus’ strategic plans, including chasing action points to completion.
* Contributing to the wider administrative requirements within the Executive and Business Team.
About You
* Ideally having previous experience of working in a public sector organisation or within the transport industry.
* Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and active listening.
* Experience of providing diary management at a senior leadership level.
* Strong organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise to plan and complete work effectively under pressure.
* Understand Data Protection and the requirements around working confidentiality and keeping sensitive information secure.
* Experience of servicing meetings, including distribution of papers, minute taking and following up on recommendations.
