Role Snapshot Join us as a Liquid Injection Molding Maintenance Specialist supporting our Flexan site at 500 Bond St, Lincolnshire, IL 60069. This is a 2nd Shift position, Monday–Friday (130pm - 10pm). Pay ranges from $25 - $35 per hour based on experience. A Day on 2nd Shift You arrive ready to keep critical production assets running at peak performance. You’ll execute material change-overs on liquid injection molding machines and optimize processes across molding machines, extruders, and auxiliary/processing equipment. When an alarm hits, you diagnose the root cause, adjust parameters, and recommend tooling or machine repairs. You’ll calibrate equipment to exact standards, document setups, and keep maintenance work orders moving so production stays on schedule. Along the way, you share best practices across shifts, uphold cleanroom protocols, and maintain a safe, compliant workspace. What You’ll Tackle Perform material change-overs on liquid injection machines per weekly schedule. Set up tooling, machines, and auxiliary equipment; complete all related documentation. Troubleshoot machines and peripherals to minimize downtime; adjust settings and recommend repairs. Lead root-cause investigations for significant equipment failures and report findings to the Maintenance Manager. Recommend maintenance-driven upgrades to improve productivity, reduce costs, and prevent failures. Open/close maintenance work orders promptly; promote strong teamwork and cross-shift communication. Calibrate equipment to required standards within defined tolerances. Ensure compliance with all manufacturing, traceability, process control, safety, housekeeping, and cleanroom procedures, including attire and contamination control. Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and megohmmeters to verify safety and compatibility. Maintain a safe working environment and model professional conduct with coworkers, staff, and managers. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. 2 years as a Preventive Maintenance or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment. Core Competencies Read/interpret prints and electrical schematics. Use and interpret measuring devices, gauges, and inspection tools. Deep knowledge of compressors, chillers, and water softener systems. Strong problem-solving; calm under pressure in a fast-paced team setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented; produces accurate, professional documentation. Preferences Technical degree. Ability to read and understand prints and electrical schematics. Ability to read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools. In-depth knowledge of compressors, chillers, and water softener systems. Meet internal deadlines and customer due dates. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Work Arrangements Based on-site in Lincolnshire, IL; no travel. Compensation Pay: $25 - $35 per hour Based on Experience. Pay Range: Starting Pay will range between $25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
