Core Purpose:
· To support the Christian ethos of the school, maintain the highest professional standards and contribute to the development of Rawlins as a thriving community
· To ensure the learning environment at Rawlins is clean and safe in order to promote the well-being of all pupils
· To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Core Outcomes:
· To provide a cleaning service supporting the Premises Team within the school
Main Responsibilities:
To ensure windows and doors are closed and locked when leaving rooms. To ensure all lights are switched off when leaving any area after cleaning
To ensure that all cleaning agents and cleaning devices/equipment are stored at all times in a safe and appropriate manner and used as per manufacturers' recommendations, COSHH Regulations and the school's Health & Safety policy
Report to Premises Manager or Premises Officer any defects seen likely to affect security, i.e. broken windows, window catches, or furniture and equipment which appears to be unsafe
To carry out cleaning duties as required by the Cleaning Supervisor and Premises Manager, such as sweeping, dusting, table cleaning, removal of chewing gum, removal of graffiti, wall washing, internal glass cleaning, toilet cleaning, mopping and use of vacuum cleaners
To carry out other duties as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor or Premises Manager commensurate with the grade
Other Duties:
To participate in annual Safeguarding training and ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils is at the forefront of decision making and actions
Participate in Staff Training Days and other training opportunities in disaggregated time, as required
To participate in the school's programme of performance management
To participate in other continuing professional development opportunities, as required or agreed
To comply with all financial, safety, data protection, IT software licensing, child protection and Equal Opportunities requirements and any other relevant guidelines
To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be agreed from time to time with the Principal
