Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours) on-site.
Main duties of the job
Overall Job Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality patient care using autonomous clinical skills and a broad, in-depth theoretical knowledge base.
* Address presenting patients' needs in a primary care setting, responding effectively to ensure patient choice and ease of access to services.
* Promote healthy lifestyles and participate in national immunisation and screening programmes.
* Support patients in managing their long-term health care needs and achieving independence.
* Encourage and facilitate patient choices by providing health promotion during routine procedures such as health checks, cervical cytology, and long-term condition management.
* Communicate complex information clearly to patients and relatives, using negotiation and persuasive skills to motivate.
* Collaborate with nursing, medical, and healthcare assistant colleagues to ensure delivery of the National Service Frameworks.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Undertake clinical duties with relevant training in areas such as:
* Adult and paediatric immunisations
* Smears
* Management of chronic conditions
* Dressing and stitch removal

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse (currently registered with the NMC)
* Qualification in cytology and/or family planning
* Competent in adult and child immunisations
* Experience in chronic disease management
* Special interest areas (e.g., respiratory, diabetes)
* Willingness to supervise trainees
Experience
* Experience working in community/primary care
* Evidence of CPD activities to maintain up-to-date knowledge and competence
* Experience working across organisational boundaries within health and social care
* Ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of own clinical practice

Salary: £44,850 to £52,650 per year (Full-time equivalent, depending on experience)
