Job Description
Join Chubb’s expanding UK and Ireland Environmental Team in London, where you will support the growth and success of our Environmental Insurance portfolio. In this role, you’ll work closely with brokers and clients on both Commercial and Major Risk accounts, building strong relationships and ensuring high standards in underwriting and client service. Ideally, you’ll bring existing environmental expertise to further strengthen the team’s collective knowledge and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business by developing existing relationships and building new ones. Assess and underwrite new business in line with Chubb’s guidelines and targets. Support brokers in placing new business through our online platform to encourage digital adoption.
* Manage your own renewal portfolio, ensuring prompt issuance and supporting Chubb’s retention goals. Identify opportunities to move existing business to the Ignite platform.
* Build strong relationships with key brokers through regular meetings and training. Promote Chubb’s Environmental insurance products and help brokers understand them.
* Represent Chubb professionally to brokers, clients and colleagues. Provide excellent service, monitor business activity and seek opportunities to offer Environmental insurance.
* Ensure all underwriting meets Chubb’s standards and regulatory requirements.
* Act as a positive representative for Chubb, demonstrating our values and standards in every interaction.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in the insurance industry, ideally with a focus on Environmental or Specialty lines.
* Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and expanding technical and business acumen.
* Confident and effective communicator, with experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
* In‑depth knowledge of the insurance market and competitor landscape (UK or international).
* Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with brokers and clients.
* Results‑driven, with a proactive approach to decision‑making and working independently.
* Recognised as an experienced professional within the industry, with a strong external profile.
* ACII qualification preferred (or working towards), though not essential.
* Minimum of A Levels or equivalent; higher education qualifications advantageous.
