Electrical Estimating Manager
Location: Plymouth (Office-based with 1 day remote working)
Salary: From £55,000 + Electric Company Car + Bonus
Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time
About the Company
We are working with a growing and forward-thinking renewable energy contractor specialising in commercial electrical installations, solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV infrastructure.
With a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimating Manager to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for renewable energy projects
2. Price commercial solar PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure schemes
3. Assess both electrical and civil scopes of work
4. Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
5. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
6. Work closely with project and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover
7. Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
8. Support tender submissions and bid proposals
Requirements & Experience
9. Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within renewables or commercial electrical projects
10. Strong experience pricing solar PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure projects
11. Understanding of both electrical and civils packages
12. Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
13. Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
