Job Title: Bid Writer

Location: Remote UK Based

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (Dependant on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm



The Evolve Group are seeking an experienced Bid Writer that will be responsible for managing and writing high-quality compelling bids. This role will oversee the tender pipeline from opportunity identification through to submission.

The role will also have responsibility for leading our CRM and lead generation initiatives whilst supporting the Commercial team with account management duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of winning bids within marketing, print or creative design services.

This role will be remote based with occasional travel between Scotland, Manchester and Client Locations.

Key Responsibilities

* Opportunity Identification: oversee procurement portals and frameworks to identify relevant tenders aligned to The Evolve Group’s services.
* Bid Strategy: Define The Evolve Group’s tender strategy by building a narrative and content structure in collaboration with sales and product teams.
* Content Creation: Write and edit tailored responses, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the evaluation criteria.
* Proposal Management: Oversee the bid lifecycle - assign tasks, track timelines, facilitate all process reviews, and ensure final submission.
* Compliance: Ensure responses meet all legal, commercial, and buyer-specific requirements.
* Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with sales, finance and operational colleagues to shape responses and gather inputs.
* Content Library Development: Maintain and update reusable content, case studies, and past responses.
* Manages 2-3 live bids/month.
* Contributes to bid/no-bid recommendations and process improvements.
* Business lead for CRM and lead generation campaigns (Salesforce, Hubspot and Apollo experience desirable)
* Support for Account Management team as required during annual leave or busy periods

Required Skills

* Persuasive writing, editing, and storytelling
* Marketing, Print or Creative Design procurement knowledge
* Bid planning, task management, and review cycle facilitation
* Content design and document compliance
* Internal Stakeholder engagement
* Client facing experience relevant for late-stage tender interviews
* Proficiency in MS Office and submission portals

Experiences

* Delivering complete procurement bids as lead writer and manager
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape strategy and pricing
* Managing bid reviews and coordinate contributions
* Writing winning proposals in a related environment
* Maintaining proposal libraries and governance records
