Role Overview
TeacherActive is working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Salford and South Manchester who are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants for long-term, full-time positions.
These roles are ideal for individuals who have at least 6 months of experience working in a UK school setting and are passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development. Successful candidates will work closely with class teachers to help create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning
Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
Help maintain a positive and productive learning environment
Support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
Encourage pupil participation and confidence in learning activities
Essential Requirements
Minimum 6 months experience working in a UK school (essential)
Experience supporting children within a classroom environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive, patient and proactive approach to supporting pupils
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in education
Desirable Qualifications
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or
Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification, or equivalent
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as SEND or EAL
Experience working within primary schools
