About the role
The Dental Nurse will play an integral role in the coordination, preparation, and maintenance of clinical skills and associated facilities for a broad spectrum of scheduled postgraduate teaching activities and courses within the unit. Working in close collaboration with the Eastman Clinical Investigation Skills Manager and the Senior Dental Nurse, the postholder will contribute to the effective oversight of day-to-day operations across all clinical teaching spaces.
Key responsibilities will include ensuring that the Clinical Skills Rooms and the Clinical Suite are consistently prepared, well-maintained, and fully equipped to support the delivery of high-quality educational programmes. The Dental Nurse will be expected to uphold rigorous standards of clinical readiness, infection control, and equipment management, thereby facilitating a safe, professional, and supportive learning environment for all participants. This role is essential to the smooth running of postgraduate training and contributes directly to the overall educational excellence of the Institute.
This role is a maternity leave cover, starting immediately and ending on 01/11/.

It is important to note that this role is based within a higher education institution and is not part of the National Health Service (NHS). The clinical environment operates within an academic context, supporting university-led teaching.
This appointment is subject to:
1. Full registration with the General Dental Council as a Dental Nurse.
2. Pre-employment health screening assessment
3. Disclosure and Barring Service assessment
4. Eligible for Honorary Appointment with NHS (usually UCLH NHS Trust)
About you
The postholder must have the following:
5. Qualified Dental Nurse
6. Registered with the General Dental Council as a Dental Nurse (or be eligible to register).
7. National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) Qualification (Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent) or equivalent Hospital Qualification
8. Knowledge in Health & Safety, Cross Infection and CQC Guidelines.
