Class Teacher (Part-Time, Maternity Cover)
Location: Godalming, SurreyDaily Rate: £150 – £270 (dependent on experience, negotiable)
We are working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Godalming seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join them on a part-time maternity cover basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive school community, teaching engaged pupils in a positive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will benefit from generous release time for planning as well as ongoing support from a friendly staff team.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
* Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress
* Adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
* Maintaining effective behaviour management in line with school policies
* Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and leadership
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching within a primary setting
* Strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching
* A commitment to supporting pupil development and wellbeing
