Finance Business Partner role at South Kesteven District Council SKDC
Overview
Be a key part of a forward thinking and innovative finance team that will: Provide expert financial advice to service areas, Corporate Management Team and members including undertaking complex modelling of innovative approaches; help and enable service to deliver outcomes on a business like and commercial basis, achieving value for money for residents; demonstrate leadership and technical expertise to support the embedding of financial best practice across the organization; identify outcome focused solutions which will support the ambitions of the Council as set out in the Corporate Plan.
Support the Assistant Director of Finance and Senior Accountants, working in a modern, forward thinking and dynamic financial team that will support the development and embedding of a commercial culture across teams and provide proactive a value-adding financial support working with service areas across the council. Ensure that Finance provides an efficient, effective and modern service, guiding and managing the operation and activities of the team in accordance with relevant statutory requirements and the policies of the Council. Deliver performance improvements and actions set out in relevant service plans for the areas you are business partnering, including performance indicators and measures relevant to the service areas.
This role is not politically restricted. Provisional interview dates are the 15th and 16th of October.

Salary: SK14-16 (£40,278 to £44,304 per annum)

Responsibilities
* Provide expert financial advice to service areas, Corporate Management Team and members, including undertaking complex modelling of innovative approaches.

* Demonstrate leadership and technical expertise to embed financial best practice across the organisation.
* Identify outcome-focused solutions that support the Council’s Corporate Plan.
* Support the Assistant Director of Finance and Senior Accountants with development and embedding of a commercial culture across teams, providing proactive value-adding financial support with service areas.
* Ensure a modern, efficient, and effective finance service aligned with statutory requirements and Council policies.
* Contribute to delivering performance improvements and actions in service plans, with relevant performance indicators and measures.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in financial planning, advisory, and modelling within a public sector or similar environment is desirable.
* Ability to provide strategic financial leadership and cross-service collaboration.
