An exciting opportunity has become available for an aspiring Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Tewkesbury as a Teaching Assistant. The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide both academic and emotional support to students. The classes are small, allowing staff to build strong relationships with pupils and provide highly targeted support.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs
Helping pupils re-engage with learning in a supportive environment
Building trusting relationships with students who may have experienced challenges in education
Assisting the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Supporting behaviour regulation using calm, consistent and trauma-informed approaches
Encouraging confidence, independence and positive decision making
