Private Patient Administrator
Fulwood Hall Hospital - Preston
30 hours per week

Summary
Fulwood Hall Hospital was opened as a purpose built facility in 1986. In 2009 the hospital completed a £9m pound investment to refurbish and expand the site, making it the largest independent hospital in Lancashire and one of the largest in the north of England.
The hospital has six consulting rooms supported by a fully equipped outpatient treatment room, a pre-assessment unit for screening and assessing patients prior to surgery as well as modern imaging facilities and a brand new physio and sports therapy department including gymnasium.
Patient accommodation has been improved with the introduction of a day care facility providing individual, spacious accommodation for up to twelve patients in a clean, modern and comfortable environment, designed specifically for day care surgery.
The role
As the Private Patient Administrator you will provide administrative support to the Private Patient Manager and include direct customer contact to facilitate the private patient journey ensuring delivery of excellent customer service and growth in private patient volumes. This is an extremely busy role liaising with patients, Consultants and all hospital departments.
We need an individual with a professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative and the ability to work within a team. You must be computer literate – experience with Word and Outlook being essential. Previous use of an Electronic Patient Record system would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
1. Liaising with patients by phone, email & letter
2. Booking appointments
3. Liaising with consultants and their secretaries
4. Ensuring timely completion of appointments onto EPR system
5. Scanning & auditing of patient information
6. Preparation of clinics and theatre lists
7. Maintaining clinics and theatre lists on the EPR system

10. An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel
11. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
12. Excellent communication skills – written and oral

15. Experience using a Patient Administration System (PAS) an advantage
