Role Overview
Reporting to the Global E-commerce Manager, you will play a key role in executing our online trading strategy, managing the German website, and analysing performance to drive growth. You will collaborate closely with marketing, merchandising, design, and DevOps teams to optimise site performance, enhance the customer journey, and increase online sales.
This role covers all German-language sites, including Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management
* Oversee daily operations of the German e-commerce site, including promotions, product listings, SEO, and translations.
Trading & Performance
* Support the online trading plan to boost revenue and conversion.
* Monitor KPIs (traffic, conversion, AOV, sales) and prepare actionable reports using GA4 and HotJar.
Content Localisation
* Translate and adapt content, product descriptions, and campaigns into fluent German, ensuring accuracy, terminology, and compliance with local standards.
Marketing Coordination
* Partner with digital marketing teams to deliver campaigns, SEO initiatives, newsletters, and paid media tailored to the German market.
Customer Journey Optimisation
* Identify and implement UX and checkout improvements to enhance the German customer experience.
Competitor Analysis
* Benchmark competitor activity to uncover opportunities for growth and differentiation.
Collaboration
* Work with customer service teams to deliver a seamless experience for German-speaking customers and provide support for trade reviews in other regions.
Requirements
* Fluent in German (native-level or equivalent) and English written and spoken.
* Proven experience in e-commerce management, ideally within fashion, jewellery, or luxury goods.
* Strong understanding of German online consumer behaviour and digital trends.
* Experience with CMS, e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, or similar), and Google Analytics.
* Basic knowledge of SEO, PPC, and digital marketing principles.
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
