We are a small independent Day Nursery based in Winnersh, Berkshire where every child and adult are part of our family. At Acorns we are proud of our reputyation and partnership with parents. We are looking for a special person with a passion, desire and commitment to work within our home from home setting and provide each child the very best fun learning experience. We are currently seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team to work with children aged 2 - 4 years of age.
Your role will include:
*To work as part of the nursery team in the delivery of high-quality opportunities to ensure all our children make good progress in all areas of their learning and development.
*Work within the framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, Safeguarding and Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
*To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
*To plan and implement an appropriate program of planned and spontaneous activities for children providing an effective learning environment.
*To be able to observe, record and track progress.
*To develop a good relationship with parents, carers and other family members encouraging active involvement and partnership.
You must
*Hold a NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years & Education or equivalent.
*Undertake an enhanced DBS certificate and subscribe to the update service.
*Have a genuine passion and interest in working with children.
*Be a great team player.
*Be reliable, flexible and punctual.
*Be able to use initiative.
*Good communication skills both written and verbal.

This is a full-time position 40 hours per week with shifts allocated between the hours of 8.00am - 6.00pm, Monday - Friday. We close for Bank holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year.
