Job Title: Kitchen Manager Location: Paignton TQ4 Salary: £27,711 - £32,654 (full-time equivalent, pro rata depending on experience) Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time 1 week) We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Manager to lead our school catering team. You'll be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, high-quality meals for our pupils, managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, and ensuring we meet food hygiene and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals. Plan menus and order food and supplies in line with budget and school policies. Manage kitchen staff, including training, rotas, and performance. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness. Keep accurate records of stock, cash handling, and kitchen operations. Work closely with the School Business Manager and Headteacher to ensure smooth running of the catering service.What We’re Looking For: Experience managing a kitchen or catering operation. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
