A leading audit, tax, advisory, and consulting firm with a global reach and local expertise is looking for an Audit Manager to join the team covering Cheltenham and the West Midlands. What you'll be doing as Audit Manager:
* Joining a leading firm of auditors to the charity sector, committed to delivering quality service to a high-profile portfolio of clients.
* Working with a variety of charities and not-for-profit organizations, from startups to well-established clients, including INGOs, grant makers, schools, academies, membership organizations, professional bodies, and housing associations.
* Managing a portfolio of external audit clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
* Leading several audit teams, ensuring work is completed within budget and timescales from planning to completion.
* Acting as the primary contact for clients throughout the year, delivering proactive service.
* Preparing and presenting reports to senior management and audit committees/boards.
* Coaching and mentoring audit teams to support engagement delivery.
* Engaging in business development activities and maintaining your professional network.
* Participating in proposals and presentations for new work.
* Involvement in team and firm-wide activities and training.
What we're looking for in an Audit Manager:
* Qualified ACA, ICAS, or ACCA.
* Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
* Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
* Experience with charity audits and the not-for-profit sector, including familiarity with the Charities SORP, is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong people management skills to support, coach, and mentor junior colleagues.
* An interest in the not-for-profit sector.
