Quantity Surveying Apprentice

We are seeking candidates to join as an Apprentice in Quantity Surveying, initially based at Exxon Mobil Fawley Refinery, supporting our Commercial and Administration department. The apprentice will provide commercial and administrative support and study a Degree Apprenticeship towards a Quantity Surveying qualification.
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, motivated for long-term development, and eager to learn. All training will be provided. Travel to other sites may be required in the future to support growth and experience.
The successful candidate must secure a place on a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship starting in September 2022 (sponsorship provided).
Initial Duties
* Contract administration of people booking code system and data input into designated software
* Raising invoices in SAP system
Developmental QS Activities
* Cost management: downloading and analyzing cost data
* Preparing valuations: generating applications using contract schedules
* Measuring and Estimating: producing take-offs and work package estimates
* Forecasting: compiling cost and value forecasts for monthly reports
* Cost and value reporting: analyzing data to report on financial performance
* Risk and opportunity: identifying cost savings and margin improvements

Essential Qualifications
Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics (e.g., GCSE grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills Pass).
Desirable Experience
Experience in industrial services, construction, or telecom sectors.
