Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - CNC Machines

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 plus overtime and call‑out bonus with benefits.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer based in Coventry.
Operating within a specialist heavy manufacturing environment, our client supplies engineered products into a variety of industrial sectors and continues to invest heavily in UK operations and production capability. This is a varied, hands‑on role supporting a broad range of machinery and equipment within a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
The successful candidate will join a close‑knit engineering team and take ownership of both planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site.
The Role
This role is heavily focused on maintaining production equipment, with approximately 90% machinery maintenance and 10% facilities support.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across site machinery
* Respond to machine breakdowns and minimise downtime
* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
* Fault find on motors, drives, sensors and control systems
* Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
* Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
* Assist with minor facilities maintenance when required
* Work independently and effectively prioritise workload
Experience Required
Essential
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance Engineering
* Qualified electrical maintenance background
* Previous manufacturing maintenance experience
* Strong CNC machinery experience
* Multi‑skilled maintenance capability (electrical and mechanical)
* Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
* Strong fault‑finding skills
* Ability to work autonomously
Desirable
* PLC fault‑finding experience
* Heavy engineering or machining environment background
* Facilities maintenance experience
* Continuous improvement mindset
