Creative Support has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Support Worker to assist the Management Team at our Thornaby Service. You will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver the day‑to‑day provision of support for individuals with complex Mental Health and Learning Disability needs.
Responsibilities
You must lead a team by example, demonstrating positive practice and values at all times. You will contribute to management team meetings and participate in development opportunities, and assist in ensuring the day‑to‑day provision of support for individuals with complex Mental Health and Learning Disability needs.
Qualifications and Experience
* Good understanding of Mental Health and Learning Disability needs
* Knowledge of person‑centred practice
* Strong communication, computer and motivational skills
* Previous experience of providing care and support to people with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities
* Working towards or willing to work towards a role‑specific qualification
* Experience supervising a staff team and devising rotas (beneficial)
* A clean driving licence is preferable
