You will need to have had experience in a similar role. You'll need to be flexible with your working times and available to work a minimum of 35 hours per week including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and during busy holiday periods.

You will be primarily responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by running smooth, efficient shifts on the floor, with a focus on ensuring every guest feels welcomed and leaves satisfied. Alongside this, you'll manage key tasks such as recruitment, training, stock management, cash handling, and maintaining health and safety standards.
Within your day to day role, you will:
* Prepare the restaurant before opening, ensuring it is clean, organised, and ready for guests.
* Ensure the till is balanced at the start and end of each shift, and that cash handling procedures are followed accurately.
* Manage the flow of service during shifts, positioning staff correctly to ensure smooth operations.
* Champion Mango's standards of service, ensuring every customer leaves the restaurant amazed.
* Maintain a feel-good, energetic atmosphere in the restaurant.
* Greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and ensure prompt seating & service.
* Regularly walk the floor to maintain cleanliness and presentation, while proactively identifying and resolving potential service issues.
* Check in with guests, collect feedback, resolve complaints swiftly, and use insights to improve service.
* Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service.
* Ensure closing duties are complete, including cleaning, securing the premises, and checklists.
* Complete daily sales report sheets, track performance against targets, and report any discrepancies to senior management.
* Monitor stock levels, place timely orders for bar and restaurant supplies, receive & check deliveries as they come in, rotate stock, and practise good cellar management.
* Respond to customer bookings and queries, organise reservations, table plans & parties, ensuring everything needed is prepared and ordered ahead of time according to upcoming bookings.
* Contribute to social media by posting updates and stories to engage with the online community.
* Plan and manage staff rotas, ensure time sheets are correct, adapt staff hours on shift to reduce labour costs, make sure we have enough staff for busy periods, and organise cover for shift cancellations.
* Train new staff, provide ongoing coaching, and manage team performance.
