About the Role This role combines technical delivery with team leadership. You’ll play a key part in producing design outputs while also developing and mentoring a growing in-house team. You’ll work closely with project teams, clients, and external consultants to ensure innovative, cost-effective, and buildable solutions across a range of civil engineering and renewables projects. Key Responsibilities Lead the design process across civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance and innovation. Be hands-on in developing drawings, calculations, and technical reports. Build and mentor a growing internal design team. Collaborate with project delivery teams to provide practical and buildable solutions. Manage external design consultants and ensure smooth coordination. Drive value engineering and efficient design methodologies. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. About You Strong technical background in civil engineering design. Comfortable producing design outputs, not just managing the process. Proven ability to lead and develop a team. Experience working in a contractor or consultancy environment. Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
