The Pesticide Operational Support Team (POST) supports the Chemical Regulations Division in the processing and delivering of pesticide authorisations. The team is an operational delivery team that is responsible for processes for incoming applications, and the processing and issuing of all pesticide authorisations.
Working Pattern
Part‑time working hours are available for this role. We can accept part‑time applicants who can commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week across a minimum of 4 days.
Travel
Occasional attendance to HSE's head office (Bootle) may be required, along with the potential requirement to visit other HSE sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team delivering high standards of service creating an inclusive and positive working environment.
* Have responsibility for the line management of up to 8 individuals.
* Share responsibility to manage incoming pesticide applications and oversight of leading a team in completing post‑sift actions to a high quality in support of the Pesticide Product Team and Pesticide Active Substances Team.
* Have oversight of and support in the delivery of MRL work by the POST MRL team.
* Make decisions on the progress of pesticide applications that are of an administrative nature.

Qualifications
* Experience in leading people or teams, or demonstrating the ability to support and guide colleagues effectively, including informal leadership, mentoring or coordinating work.
* Ability to lead a team and support and motivate colleagues to successfully deliver outcomes against tight deadlines.
* Demonstrated ownership and accountability for delivering results, with confident decision‑making, sound judgment and the ability to challenge constructively.
* Strong organisational, self‑motivation and adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey key messages clearly and assimilate information from diverse sources.
