We are seeking an Electrically Biased MEICA Foreman to support delivery across the EA Northwest framework.
The role will lead and undertake electrical installation, inspection, testing, fault finding, and maintenance activities, while also supporting associated mechanical works on MEICA assets. The successful candidate will ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contractual, client, and statutory requirements.
This position requires strong on-site supervisory capability combined with hands-on electrical expertise within industrial or water-sector environments.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on EA MEICA assets.
Lead electrical installation, testing, inspection, and fault-finding activities.
Carry out inspection & testing in accordance with 2391 standards and produce certification where required.
Diagnose electrical control panel faults, motor control issues, and associated equipment failures.
Support mechanical installation and maintenance activities including:
Pumps
Gearboxes
Sluice gates
Penstocks
Screens
Actuators
Pipework and valves
Assist with removal, installation, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Work from engineering drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, and approved method statements.
Complete site documentation and reporting, including PPM records with photographic evidence.
Identify defects and provide clear recommendations for remedial works.
Ensure all works are undertaken in line with RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work.
Liaise effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Participate in the call-out rota as required.
Provide leadership and oversight to site operatives, ensuring productivity, quality, and compliance.

Essential Qualifications & Experience (Must Have)
NVQ Level 3 Electrician
2391 Inspection & Testing
AM2
Minimum 2 years' on-site experience, including supervisory/management responsibility
Experience working within industrial or water-sector environments
Relevant ECS / CSCS card
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Full UK Driving Licence
