We have an opportunity for a Works Supervisor and Package Manager to join our team on The M6 Routine Operation & Maintenance project near Lockerbie. As a Major Maintenance Engineer, you will be a member of the contract team reporting to the Major Maintenance Manager.

Your profile
What will your responsibilities be?
* Organise and coordinate logistical operations for major maintenance contracts, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
* Liaise with Autolink and external organizations for inspections, maintenance, and upgrades, managing various work packages, including night and weekend shifts.
* Review site scope of works before packages commence.
* Verify subcontractors' CSCS cards and plant operatives' CPCS cards.
* Implement ITPs, ensure completion of checks, and sign off checklists.
* Participate in start-up and progress meetings, familiarizing yourself with each package’s scope.
* Manage subcontractors per CMS requirements, record meeting minutes promptly, and ensure action items are completed.
* Liaise with the Employer's Agent, Statutory Undertakers, Emergency Services, and other third parties, and manage arising works.
* Ensure COSHH implementation.
* Maintain driver logs and ensure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
* Report any H&S breaches immediately, halt work if necessary, and document the incident per SRM procedures.
What Skills and Knowledge are essential?
* Experience in the Highways Maintenance Sector and understanding of relevant processes.
* Knowledge of maintenance products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
* Familiarity with packages such as Insight, Highstone, IRIS & SMS.
* Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card.
