Supervisor

Role Summary
As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day reactive repairs and void properties, ensuring operatives deliver high-quality work safely and efficiently. You will audit, plan, and support the delivery of larger projects while maintaining strong communication with both your team and management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage operatives to ensure work is carried out to the required standards, on time and safely.
* Audit quality of work and safety compliance, reporting accidents or damage when necessary.
* Maintain vehicle standards, van stock levels, and ensure efficient use of materials and equipment.
* Escalate urgent issues to the Contract Manager and highlight any trends that may affect performance.
* Support the Operations Centre with technical queries and problem-solving.
* Scope and survey works such as voids, bathrooms, and kitchens, providing detailed job coding using Schedule of Rates.
* Deliver toolbox talks confidently and ensure operative attendance.
* Promote and reinforce Health & Safety practices, carrying out documented site observations.
* Provide out-of-hours escalation support, attending sites when required.
Skills Required
* Strong technical expertise in building-related works, with the ability to provide effective solutions.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate professionally at all levels.
* Confident in using IT systems, with proficiency in MS Office (intermediate level).
* Ability to challenge and be challenged in a constructive manner.
Knowledge Required
* In-depth knowledge of building methods, practices, procedures, and regulations.
* Familiarity with materials and techniques used in construction and building maintenance.
Qualifications Required
* NVQ or equivalent in a trade-specific discipline (essential).
* SSSTS Health & Safety (desirable).
* Scaffold Inspector course (desirable).
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
