This vacancy is advertised on behalf of Public Protection Partnership PPP, a shared environmental health, licensing and trading standards service for Bracknell Forest and West Berkshire Councils.
Overview
Join our active Environmental Quality Team, where your work will include direct improvement of private water supplies and local air quality. We are looking for an Environmental Control Officer to focus on improvements in environmental protection and commercial nuisances.
Responsibilities
* Carry out private water supply sampling, risk assessments, advice and enforcement, and associated administration; liaise with property owners and laboratories.
* Deploy and collect monthly air quality monitoring diffusion tubes; manage data and support the lead AQ officer.
* Investigate complaints regarding commercial nuisance.
Qualifications
* Customer‑focused professional with strong interpersonal skills.
* Working knowledge of environmental protection and private water supply legislation.
* Confidence using ICT tools including Microsoft Office, Teams, and case management systems.
* Successful completion of the Certificate of Persons Scheme for sampling private water supplies (if not already held) will be essential.
