Macquarie Built Carpentry Contractors are a group of 3, highly dedicated teams of 10 carpenters who are committed to delivering the highest standards of workmanship on all the projects that we work on.
From our Head Quarters in Birmingham, and our satellite offices in Bradford, and London, we can cover large parts of the UK as required.
Our Northern Teams from our Bradford office cover:
Glasgow and Edinburgh, down to Sheffield, and Liverpool to Scarborough.
Our Birmingham teams from our HQ cover:
Telford to Nottingham and Nottingham to Oxford
And our London Teams cover:
Central London and surrounding as well as the Southeast.
So a WIDE area covered.

Macquarie Built Carpentry Contractors LTD is made of Four specialist sides, and the teams can crisscross between them depending on skillsets needed.
Macquarie Built Residential Carpentry Contractors:
Under our residential side, we cover:
New Build Housing, Timber Framing and Kit Sets (with foundation works), Social Housing Contracts, and private customers homes
(including bespoke projects such as Decking, and TV Media walls as well as home extensions (with all foundation works))
Macquarie Built Commercial Carpentry Contractors:
Under our commercial team, we cover:
University maintenance contracts (all carpentry works, including fire door remedial works), School and Hospital Maintenance works, retail fit out works (your Costa’s, Zizzi’s, Next Home etc) as well as warehouse and office fit out and renovation work’s.
Macquarie Built Timber Frame:
Our Timber frame teams are time served, crews with experience in framing having done Kits from the likes of Scot frame, Low field Timber Frame, and Oregon Timber Frame.
Our lead carpenters are from New Zealand, and have time served and experienced in the American/ Australian Stick built framing, and are able to lead the crews from start to finish.
With Macquarie Built Carpentry Contractors as your timber framers, we don't just do the framing, we are with you from the foundations right up to the last door handle.
So, we do the shutting and form works for the concrete slab, the erecting of the kits, and all the joinery works internals right up to finished project.. so thats what sets us apart from other erectors.

Macquarie Built Fire Door Installations:
We currently have 3 fire door teams across the country that can both supply and fit, as well as do labour only when doing our fire door installs.
We have a range of suppliers we use, however if we supply, then the doors would need to be paid for up front when the job is priced, but we can pickup and deliver if needed.
We MAINLY work on commercial works, for our bigger clients such as Warwick and Birmingham Universities, shop fits etc.. but can if needed cover the smaller contracts to like social housing and our smaller customers.
All the Teams come BM Trada registered, and have been registered on the approved bodies and going for a long time, and as such unto speed with all the current codes and standards the industry requires.
Andrew and James, our lead Carpenters, post regularly on the fire door groups and are active members in any fire door group discussions and are also our teams point of contact.
So as you can see, we have a raft of carpentry skills, with each of our carpentry teams coming from a range of areas of the Carpentry and Joinery industry, so depending on your type of job, we have a team to suit your needs.

Role Description
We are seeking Qualified Carpenters to join our teams, and to build connections with the following contractors to increase our work load: Timber Frame Gangs, Shop Fitting Contractors, New Build House Builders, and Social Housing Associations as well as office/university refurb contractors.
This is a full-time on-site role located across the country, Responsibilities include performing professional carpentry work, collaborating with the teams, lead carpenters and the Director on various projects, and maintaining VERY high standards of safety and quality.
All carpenters will utilize various hand and power tools. Must be able to do and be experienced in 1st and 2nd fix Carpentry, timber framing, Shopfitting and have high quality standards when it comes to finish works, and must contribute to the timely completion of diverse construction projects with in the allocated times.
We are not just looking to meet clients expectations, or to go above, we are looking to exceed their expectations and then some.. and that means going the extra mile, and being there from start to finish from the ground up, and exceeding in customer service no matter what site your on be it new build of a customers home.
We ALL work as a team, and even the director chips in.

Qualifications
CSCS Blue or Gold
NVQ 2 or 3 or equivalent in the trade (Kiwis among us, we will take NZQA 4 or above and LBP)
BM Trada Registered
Timber framing qualifications and tickets a must to.

You also need to have:
* Proficiency in Carpentry, including both framing and finish carpentry tasks
* Knowledge and experience with Power Tools and Hand Tools in construction and carpentry
* Familiarity with Timber Framing techniques and practices
* Commitment to meeting deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship
* A VERY Strong understanding of workplace safety and ability to follow safety protocols
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team (as thats what we are)
* Relevant certifications in carpentry or experience in construction are highly beneficial, and needed.
