We’re looking for a People Partner to lead the people workstream across bids in our UK & Europe business, playing a pivotal role in shaping compelling, competitive and deliverable people propositions. This is a highly visible role, suited to a confident self-starter who can work independently within a collaborative team, influence senior stakeholders, and bring commercial and people insight together to drive bid success. What you’ll be doing As the People Partner, you’ll take ownership of the people agenda within allocated bids, ensuring people solutions are robust, compliant, and aligned to both customer requirements and Serco’s strategic objectives. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading the people workstream for bids across the UK & Europe business, contributing directly to bid quality, competitiveness and win outcomes Providing strategic people expertise across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including workforce design, employment law, TUPE, pay, pensions and terms & conditions Designing innovative, tailored people solutions that address the unique challenges and risks of each bid Embedding strong commercial acumen, ensuring people propositions are affordable, deliverable and aligned to pricing and cost models Identifying key people risks within bids and proposing clear mitigation strategies Leveraging Serco’s HR operating model to develop compelling Employee Value Propositions (EVP) that meet customer and bid requirements Contributing to and evolving the People Bid Library, ensuring best practice, consistency, and continuous improvement through lessons learned What you’ll bring Strong HR background with knowledge of employment law, including TUPE, National Minimum Wage (NMW) and employee relations considerations Experience of supporting bids, ideally across a wide variety of sectors and complex, matrixed organisations Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure bid environments with multiple stakeholders Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance people outcomes, cost, risk and deliverability Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing up to senior leadership level Ability to work independently as a self-starter, while contributing effectively as part of a wider growth and HR team Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to obtain it What makes you successful in this role Credible, confident and collaborative, with strong personal impact Able to simplify complex people challenges into clear, pragmatic solutions Highly organised, able to manage multiple bids and workstreams simultaneously Resilient, adaptable and comfortable challenging the status quo Why Serco?
