Participation Lead
We are recruiting for a Participation Lead who has experience in designing and delivering inclusive, high‑quality and dynamic student participation and enrichment programmes that promote student aspirations and positive outcomes.
In this role you will lead initiatives that support students at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), create opportunities that develop confidence, resilience, independence and teamwork skills, and promote equality, diversity and inclusion through student activities and programmes.
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver inclusive, high‑quality participation programmes.
* Lead initiatives to support at‑risk students and improve engagement, attendance and retention.
* Create opportunities that foster confidence, resilience, independence and teamwork.
* Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all student activities.
* Report on outcomes and provide clear recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant qualification in youth work, education, wellbeing or a related area of sports and coaching; or willingness to work towards one.
* Experience working with young people in an education, youth work or support setting.
* Knowledge of strategies to improve student engagement, attendance and retention.
* Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and relational approaches.
* Strong report‑writing skills with the ability to present clear summaries, insights and recommendations.

Hours
Monday and Friday – 8:45 am to 5:00 pm.
Location
John Ruskin College in Croydon and East Surrey College in Redhill.
