Creative Technologies Academy, a self-managed non-profit public school academy (charter school) in Cedar Springs, Michigan, seeks applications for the 2025-26 school year.

WHAT YOU NEED:
6. Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
7. Experience in K-12 education preferred

IN THIS ROLE:
Instructional Leadership:
17. Curriculum and Lesson Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. This may involve incorporating various teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
18. Instructional Delivery: Effectively deliver instruction that is clear, concise, and fosters critical thinking skills in students. This can involve lectures, discussions, hands-on activities, and technology integration.
19. Assessment: Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, identify areas of need, and adjust instruction accordingly. This may involve tests, quizzes, projects, and observations.
20. Differentiation: Individualize instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students. This could involve providing various learning materials, activities, and assessments to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Student Support and Classroom Management:
21. Positive Learning Environment: Create a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment that motivates students and promotes active participation. This may involve setting clear expectations, establishing routines, and fostering positive relationships with students.
22. Classroom Management: Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain order and ensure a productive learning environment.
23. Student Support: Address student behavioral issues and provide support to help students overcome academic challenges. This may involve collaborating with parents, counselors, and other specialists.
Communication and Collaboration:
24. Parent Communication: Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress through conferences, emails, progress reports, and phone calls.
25. Professional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators on curriculum development, professional learning, and school-wide initiatives.
26. Professional Development: Participate actively in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
27. Attendance and Grading: Take attendance daily and submit grades according to school policies and deadlines.
28. Meetings and Activities: Attend staff meetings, school events, and participate in required activities.
29. Other Duties: May include maintaining classroom records, supervising extracurricular activities, or participating in school committees (depending on the specific role).
