Are you a detail-oriented professional passionate about quality and compliance? We are seeking an Auditor to join our Field Team. You will work with SMEs and large organisations, performing supplier audits to ensure management systems meet high standards.
This role offers the chance to leverage your industry knowledge, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities, providing variety, responsibility, and tangible impact.
About the Role:
As an Auditor, you will conduct audits under the guidance of the Director – Employed Services, collaborating with the Compliance Team to meet UKAS certification standards. Your reports will provide insights, summarising audit results and suggesting improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct supplier audits ensuring management systems comply with statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
2. Observe or conduct audits under supervision until fully competent.
3. Evaluate management systems for effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
4. Plan and execute audits efficiently, including opening and closing meetings.
5. Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings.
6. Resolve conflicts and maintain strong communication with auditees.
About You:
You are highly organised, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. You thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple priorities, and are passionate about customer service.
* Industry knowledge and experience in construction or civil engineering (e.g., Project/Site Manager, on-tools experience, highways-related).
* Experience with internal audits, control testing, risk identification, or audit analysis.
* Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision and handle extensive travel.
* Methodical, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
* Degree/BA or equivalent experience.
* IRCA training and professional certifications like Lead External Auditor (ISO 9001, 14001).
* Management experience in a commercial setting.
