The People and Culture Manager is responsible for developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with neurobox’s company culture and business objectives. The postholder will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment, managing employee relations, and promoting diversity and inclusion within the organisation.
Responsibilities/duties
* Partner with senior leadership to implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business, aligning with company objectives and legal standards.
* Develop people strategies and design approaches for enhancing organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
* Oversee recruitment activities including candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing across various positions within the company, to align with our commitment as a Disability Confident Leader.
* Effectively onboard new employees, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
* Coordinate performance management procedures, coaching line managers on goal establishment, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
* Support pay reviews and administer employee benefits programs, encompassing healthcare, pension, and wellness initiatives.
* Lead the Quarterly Diversity, Equity and Inclusion working group
* Support internal and external training initiatives, developing clear career pathways to foster employee growth and skill advancement.
* Maintain accurate HR records in accordance with GDPR, providing key people reporting.
* Advise line managers on employee relations issues, offering guidance on managing performance and capability and, when necessary, supporting with mediation, disciplinaries and grievances.
Person Specification
Essential
* CIPD Level 5 Qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
* Demonstrated HR management experience, with a focus on managing the wider employee lifecycle and culture development.
* Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in the UK.
* Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
* Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR software tools for efficient data management and reporting.
Desirable
* Interest in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, particularly with a disability or neurodiversity focus.
* Knowledge of the Disability Confident Scheme
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to listen and understand the needs of the employees, together with those of the company.
* Evidence of using business strategy to align solutions or problem-solving approaches.
Hours
* Part-time role: 3 days per week (22.5 hours). Hours flexible.
